Job Title: Computer Vision Engineer

Fameccanica – Angelini Technologies is looking for a Computer Vision Engineer to join our R&D team and contribute to the development of advanced computer vision systems for a wide range of innovative applications.
The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background in computer science, electronics, mathematics, and physics, accompanied by significant hands-on experience with computer vision algorithms, artificial intelligence models, including machine learning and deep learning, as well as a deep knowledge of state-of-the-art programming languages (python, c++, ...) and hardware (GPU, FPGA, ...) and software (pyTorch, Tensorflow, Keras, ...) platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Select the best optical setup and vision system based on project requirements.
- Configure commercial vision systems.
- Define and configure communication between the vision system and industrial automation systems.
- Develop and implement computer vision algorithms and models.
- Design and train deep learning models.
- Test innovative technology hardware systems.
- Collaborate with vendors and technology partners.
- Develop test and evaluation protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integrated solutions.
Requirements:
- Qualification: Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, automation, computer science or a related field.
- Thorough knowledge of artificial intelligence algorithms and models.
- Programming skills: excellent command of programming languages commonly used in computer vision, such as Python and C++.
- Image and video processing techniques.
- Familiarity with computer vision hardware platforms, such as GPUs, FPGAs, and embedded systems.
- Ability to work both in a team and independently if needed.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to continually keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies.
