Job Title:  MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Fameccanica - Angelini Technologies is looking for a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our design team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical engineering, good knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD), and proven experience in designing automated lines.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and set up the design of automatic lines or parts of them, identifying innovative solutions, checking historical precedents and documenting new technologies or materials available on the market, comparing with designers of other product areas and with electrical design, in compliance with defined technical specifications, standards, safety regulations, time and cost
• Participate in job order teams to define the architecture of complex projects.
• Carry out assigned projects, preparing drawings and bills of materials, in compliance with defined technical specifications, standards, timelines and costs, as well as current regulations and safety procedures pertaining to the entire life of the equipment, and support in the drafting of operation and maintenance manuals.
• Support Production during the assembly/testing phases, providing clarification on the drafted designs, studying and identifying the necessary technical changes, taking care of modifications and updating the design.
• Collaborate with the relevant business functions in the feasibility study, supporting the direct supervisor or intervening personally, in line with the directives received.
• Provide technical training to client personnel, through theoretical training sessions, in line with programs prepared by the Training Manager.
• Contribute to the development of new technologies, research and promote the dissemination of know-how of expertise, through the preparation of documentation, on-the-job training and carrying out training sessions to relevant personnel.

Requirements:

• Technical/industrial/automation diploma or degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Proven experience in designing entire production lines or parts of them of the company's various products, looking for innovative systems and methodologies, in compliance with general directives, technical specifications, standards, safety regulations, established timeframes and costs.
• Solid knowledge of CAD software, particularly SolidWorks and/or SolidEdge.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and teamwork skills.
• Results orientation and attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of current safety regulations and procedures.
• Knowledge of materials, production processes and manufacturing techniques.
